In the previous post Jim Baucom (from email) sent why he believes that Jacob Crick's wife, Susan Haley, was the daughter of Barnabas Haley and Nancy Coursey. Jim has not been able to find the names of any of their children published anywhere, yet their family included 8 children in 1820 Bedford Co., TN.
If his assumption is correct the below document lists some of Susan's ancestors that he located on line. He copied and highlighted her ancestors, but has not gone any deeper in researching these results. Please feel free to comment, correct or discuss any of what is stated.
This email was sent to cousins that have descended from John Baucom and Nancy Crick (the daughter of Jacob Crick and Susan Haley).
It was also sent to Shelah Crick has graciously volunteered to present this information at the annual Crick Reunion in AUG so that other descendants of John and Susan can add to their information or make comments, and to Gerald Fowler has helped with the Haley line in the past. From two different sources the
HALEY LINE was traced back to England .
They were copied and edited to remove most of the people not pertaining to
Susan’s ancestors. Her line is highlighted along the way. I have made very
little effort to verify the contents. As per usual daughters are often not
named in various records and/or maiden names neglected.
The first source found started with
the oldest ancestors known to them which was Edward Haley and Catherine and
continued on for later generations. I stopped copying after Barnabas m Nancy
Cursey. No children were named for them. And no dates were given anywhere in
this post.
The second source found was
presented in the opposite order starting with a Ben F Haley, born 1857 in Henry
Co., VA and goes back to John Haley, born 1600; died 1658. I started coping at
generation 5 which is where James Haley and Martha Wells are listed with their
children including Barnabas Haley who married Nancy Coursey and other sons but
no daughters so no descendants of them has been found so far.
